Jackie, daughter of legendary UT and Olympic coach Ray Bussard, has been the Head Coach at KRC since 2011. With over 35 years of coaching experience, she is recognized as one of the top age group swim coaches in the Southeast.

Jackie’s accolades include being named Southeastern Swimming Age Group Coach of the Year five times (1999, 2002, 2003, 2012, and 2014). She served as Age Group Chair of Southeastern Swimming from 2002 to 2006 and was the Head Coach of the Southeastern Zone All-Star Team in 1999, 2000, and 2001. Elected by her peers, she served on the Southeastern Swimming Board from 2002 to 2015.

Following her coaching tenure, Jackie transitioned into education, becoming the Athletic & Physical Education Director at Sacred Heart Cathedral School. She continues her passion for aquatics as the Aquatics Director at KRC, where she teaches and coaches swimmers of all ages. Additionally, she is a certified Instructor Trainer for the American Red Cross, sharing her expertise in lifesaving skills.

Outside of coaching, Jackie enjoys promoting the value of sports and an active lifestyle. She loves spending time with her husband, Chris, and their sons, Henry and Stephen.

Joe began coaching with KRC in the summer of 2023, bringing over 20 years of swim coaching experience. Outside of his work with KRC, he serves as the head swim coach at Webb School and an assistant coach with Tennessee Aquatics. Joe also founded the Grown-up Swimming program in the Knoxville area for adults who want to stay active in the water

Beyond the pool, Joe is a 6th grade teacher at Webb School. He also holds several leadership roles in the swimming community: Knoxville League Director for Grown-up Swimming, Vice President of TISCA, and President of KISL.

When he's not coaching or teaching, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife, Alex, and their two sons, J.R. and Stetson.

A lifelong member of the KRC family, Trecy began as a swimmer and transitioned into coaching alongside Jackie in 2015 at the age of 18. With over a decade of coaching experience, she is proud to contribute to one of the top summer swim teams in the region.

Trecy’s passion lies in working with the youngest swimmers through the Feeder Program, where many KRC athletes begin their journey. She extends this dedication year-round through her own swim instruction business, Swim with Trecy, which offers swim lessons in the Knoxville area. In addition to her coaching role, she has also managed the team’s apparel for several years.

KRC holds a special place in Trecy’s heart, having provided some of her most cherished childhood memories. Today, she continues to uphold its traditions not only as a coach but also as a parent—often joined on the pool deck by her two young children.
