Coach Joe M. Hendee Pool
The KRC pool was dedicated to Coach Joe on May 7, 2011, honoring his legacy of over 20 years of leadership, tradition, and family.
Coach Joe made swimming both fun and meaningful, focusing on technique while prioritizing the well-being of every child. He instilled the importance of striving for one’s personal best—not just in the pool, but in life. Every swimmer, regardless of ability, was valued, and he fostered an environment where everyone contributed to KRC’s success.
He taught his swimmers that it wasn’t about winning or losing, but about giving their best effort. His message was clear: “Fight the good fight, finish the race, and keep the faith.”
Coach Joe was the heart of KRC—the king of "OY!", jolly ranchers, knuckles, last lappers, and early mornings on the hill with a view. He made sure KRC was a place where lifelong friendships were built.
His mission and traditions live on, shaping the next generation of KRC swimmers.
“In Coach Joe Hendee We Trust” — always!
