Please Declare your Swimmer - Attending or Not - Deadline Approches

Here's a friendlier version that emphasizes the fun, low-pressure nature of the meet and encourages newer swimmers to participate:

Smoky Mountain Invitational Reminder

Hello KRC Families,

We noticed that your swimmer has not yet been declared for the Smoky Mountain Invitational, and we need your response as soon as possible. Because this meet requires an early entry deadline, we must submit our entries well in advance.

If your swimmer is new to swim team or has never attended a larger meet, this is a wonderful event to consider!

The Smoky Mountain Invitational is designed specifically for summer league swimmers. Year-round swimmers who regularly compete in USA Swimming meets are not eligible to participate, which gives our summer league swimmers a chance to shine and enjoy a meet geared just for them. (KRC year round swimmers please declare - not attending)

This meet is about much more than racing. It is one of the most fun traditions of the summer and includes:

  • Swimming alongside teammates from across the area
    • Team spirit and KRC pride
    • Snow cones and concessions
    • A giant slide at Springbrook
    • Open pool time for fun swimming between events
    • Special awards and meet traditions
    • Our fun Tie-Dye Theme, where swimmers can wear their favorite tie-dye gear and show off their team spirit

    • The meet is split into two days:

    • Saturday: Swimmers ages 11 & Up
    • Sunday: Swimmers ages 10 & Under

    For many swimmers, this becomes one of their favorite memories of the season. Coaches are there to help every step of the way, and we encourage families to give it a try. The atmosphere is fun, supportive, and perfect for swimmers who may be looking for a fun racing experience outside of our regular dual meets.

    It is very important that all swimmers are declared as early as possible. Knowing who will be attending allows our coaches to plan events, create relays, and prepare meet entries accurately. Early declarations save a tremendous amount of time and help ensure we can provide the best possible experience for all swimmers.
